In Kaliningrad, an apartment in a historic building is reinterpreted through a contemporary interior design project, where wood and bespoke craftsmanship make the most of every space.

In the heart of Kaliningrad, an apartment in a prestigious historic building has been reimagined through a contemporary interior design project, developed to make the most of its compact spaces.
The need to maximise every corner shaped the design of bespoke furnishings, created to integrate seamlessly with the existing architecture and bring continuity to the different areas of the home, while creating functional and well-organised spaces.
Brushed oak takes centre stage in the kitchen and master bathroom: a living material that brings warmth and depth to an otherwise clean, contemporary language. In the guest bathroom, lacquered finishes offer a different interpretation of the surfaces, with a smooth and luminous effect.
Arches, niches and the proportions of the historic architecture engage in dialogue with the furnishing, cabinetry and wall panelling all made by Giovanni Visentin, striking a balance between the building’s heritage and a contemporary sensibility.
A project where raw materials are not simply finishes, but the starting point around which the identity of each space is built.
